What Kind of Future Will Our Children Have?
The Michigan Senate passed the budget on the backs of our children, our college students, our police officers, our firefighters and our poorest citizens.
- K-12 Education: cut nearly $300 per student
- Promise Scholarship? Promise broken, program eliminated
- Cuts to Revenue Sharing – money for police & fire
- Cuts to healthcare, mental health and community health
The governor vetoed the worst provisions so the Senate could fix these problems. We must insist that they do it! They must support revenue to fund these critical programs. They must invest in Michigan's future.
The Plan:
On election day we will take this message to voters. We will be targeting three senators: Bishop, Cassis & Pappageorge. We will hand out flyers at targeted polling locations during the hours of 7-9am & 4-7pm. If you cannot go to the targeted areas, carry out the plan in your own Senate District.
Your Part:
Choose a precinct (and your 2nd & 3rd choices), choose your working hours, download and print 20 copies of a 2-sided flyer, on election day work the precinct (distribute the flyer & get signatures on the petition), return the petition to us.
We'll walk you through the process. Start by choosing your area:
Bishop - Senate District 12: Pontiac/Rochester/Rochester Hills
Cassis - Senate District 15: Novi/West Bloomfield
Pappageorge - Senate District 13: Clawson/Madison Heights/Royal Oak
